Angela and Adam were married June 12. The day started out a little rainy but cleared up nicely by late afternoon for pictures in Noelridge Park in Cedar Rapids. Beautiful couple, beautiful ceremony, beautiful day! Congratulations to Angela and Adam, and thank you for choosing Visions Photography to be a part of your special day!

Johnson County Relay for Life

Last Friday, June 11th I had the honor of photographing the Johnson County Relay for Life, and was also part of the team “Everyday Heroes”

Fighting cancer has become personal to me, I lost my father to prostate cancer, my daughter in law’s mother and dear friend Mary Read to lung cancer, Mary’s husband and close friend Bob Read to Leukemia, Chief a fuzzy beloved friend and family member to Stomach cancer, and Smokey another fuzzy beloved friend and family member to Bone Cancer.

I want to see cancer wiped out, defeated! It touches way too many lives and is just a terrible disease, and the cures so far are not much better than the disease!

One thing I noticed as the survivors spoke was how many of them have faced multiple battles with cancer and how it sometimes affects multiple family members.

There is still time to donate to Relay for Life, please donate $10 or more to help fight this terrible disease and wipe it out for good!

Seniors – Class of 2011

You know you don’t want your senior portraits to look like everyone elses! Dare to be different!

At Visions Photography, it’s all about you, who you are, what you stand for, what makes you special! We take our time, get to know you, and then give you extraordinary, award winning, artistic images that represent the REAL YOU!

If you book your session during the month of June you can save $75.00 off the session fee or any package! Your session can be later this summer but you must book it and pay the session fee of $75 during the month of June.

All sessions include two locations, this can be studio and 1 outdoor location or 2 outdoor locations.

Darby and Matt

This time we ventured out to Lake MacBride to do some engagement pictures of Darby and Matt. They didn’t want any posed pictures so I told them to just pretend I wasn’t there and be themselves, my favorite way of shooting!

The weather cooperated perfectly, and once again Mother Nature supplied some great clouds for a little “drama.” And those of you that know me, know how much I like clouds in some of my portraits! (sheepish grin)

Dawn and Pat

We ventured out to Dawn’s parents farm to photograph Dawn and Pat’s engagement portraits.

It was a gorgeous day, and despite a little wind, we got some great shots! Thank you Mother Nature for supplying the wonderful clouds!

Cara and Scott

We were proud to be a part of Cara and Scott’s special day! Their love for each other can be felt whenever you are around them.

A beautiful day although a bit chilly, it was a beautiful ceremony. One of my personal favorites was all the touches of pink, Cara’s favorite color, and also the bubbles from the crowd that filled the air at the completion of the ceremony!

Congratulations Cara and Scott, and thank you for choosing Visions Photography!
